PURSUED  – PART FOUR

Butterfly

Not a river to be crossed, but a river in which to be immersed.

In Chapter 9, the aftermath of the baptism of fire reveals definite shifts in confidence, priorities, and trust. God continually initiates manifestations of the “new”, causing me to hope for a resurrection after this period.
Chapter 10 brings calm after the storm: happiness and joy deepen, dreams of restoration emerge, and the Feast of Sukkot points to the glory of God’s eternal plan. Communication with Father and Son grows more intimate.
In Chapter 11, Yeshua’s glory is increasingly revealed through dreams and encounters. The Tabernacle’s symbolism guides me from chaotic self-life (outer court) into God’s throne-room presence (Holy of Holies), and I embrace what it means to remain “IN HIM.” Finally,
Chapter 12 reflects on the symbolism of the river—physical, and spiritual. Being immersed in the River of the Spirit becomes the rescue from end-time turmoil, and promotion into heavenly authority and unity. Honour is established as the protocol of the coming Kingdom.

CHAPTER 9

The shift

What does a ‘butterfly’ look like? Feel like?

What I do know is that inside of me, shifts have happened. From being fiercely goal-directed—wanting results, ‘getting things done’—my action-clock has slowed down significantly. My eyes are fixed on Yeshua, the author and perfecter of my faith (Hebrews 12:2).

From feeling confident about my abilities, planning my life, looking after myself—that delicious independence—I now know that, unless the LORD builds the house, watches over the city, and opens the door, the labourers labour in vain (Psalm 127:1).

I once saw people around me as my sounding board, my point of reference, and even my security. Now, my dependance has shifted to only Father God…

CHAPTER 10

A festival that was, that is, that is to come

9, 10, 11 October 2025“There is a 34%, 28%, 57% chance of rain on Sunday 12 October 2025 accompanied by strong winds. Storms due later in the afternoon,” say the daily forecasts.

“Please, Father God, could you delay the rain and wind for just a day? I would like to celebrate Sukkot this Sunday, 12 October, with two friends. And I’d like to haul out my 2-person camping tent and pitch it, all by myself, in my small backyard. If the ground is soaked, or the wind is howling….”

I’ve prepared special kebabs for our celebration in the ‘sukka’. We’ll be sitting on cushions on the ground, with two wide-awake mini-Schnauzers watching our every move—foodwise. They are most adept at quietly sneaking something off an unsuspecting plate. So, the food must be controllable, that is, from skewer to mouth.

Chapter 11

Suddenly, one morning…

2017 I’m keeping pace with life. Every part of me is longing to be closer to Father God, to know Him more and more.

One random morning, I decide to approach Him ‘through the Tabernacle’, savouring every bit of symbolism along the way. I close my eyes and enter into the experience….

… At this point, the supernatural realm invades my imagining experience—for, after all, my horizontal, sensory-laden passage is only a shadow of a vertical journey that takes one into the reality of Father’s heavenly courts.

With the eyes of my heart, I see myself standing in the physical Holy of Holies. But suddenly, the roof and walls disappear, and I find myself in a vast space, further and higher than the eye can see, resonating with pulsating LIFE and energy. The air is pure, the light is gentle, my eyes and ears have unusual clarity, I feel lighter than a feather.

I am tiny, by any comparison. I become aware of the Presence of Father God, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit—from where my feet stand, to way, way, way above me. The Trinity is here, the true and eternal embodiment of the Table of Showbread, the Menorah, and the Shekinah Glory upon the Ark of the Covenant.

Chapter 12

A rescue or a promotion?

My life has followed the coursing of a river, the passage of time, change and growth. Every encounter with the living God left deep imprints in my soul and set off a flow of transition and renewal. The River of Life was flowing through my existence, and drawing me along with it.

However, in this narrative, rivers represented something I needed to cross—situations in which I needed to be rescued

… But now a different challenge faces me. A cosmic narrative is playing out—a metaphysical river flowing through ages, realms, and dimensions.

The overwhelming realities of this earthly life are being eclipsed by the unseen realm of the Kingdom of God, which is near, said Yeshua (Matthew 3:2). This is not the habitual practice of ‘doing the right thing’, ‘living a good life’, ‘spreading a Christian influence in society’. This is living the Life of God, being the Light of God, emitting the Love of God… as He would do it. Mental assent… moves to heart conviction… shifts to Spirit power.

This is not a river to be crossed, but a spiritual river in which I need to be immersed.
